This past week we celebrated Brynlie's 3rd birthday! I can't believe that my baby is 3 years old! She sure has been changing. She talks all the time and has really gotten into imaginative play. She's now potty trained and wants to do everything herself. She is a joy to have in our home!
Here is a "twirly skirt" I made for her birthday.
Brynlie is obsessed with Scooby Doo and wanted a Scooby Doo cake. Here is my attempt. Luckily she's only 3 and didn't care if the decorating wasn't perfect.
A close up of the cake.
For dinner we had homemade chicken nuggets (Chick-Fil-A style) and french fries.
Lighting the candles.
Blowing out the candles. (Luckily she didn't catch her hair on fire!)
We got some Scooby Doo party blowers. Brynlie liked those more than the cake.
They look like little puppies! :0
Opening presents. Her siblings had a hard time not helping her, but really--she's 3-- she's got the opening presents thing down!
She got Strawberry Shortcake Dolls from Grandma & Grandpa Smith
Here is everyone playing with her toys. It's a good thing Brynlie likes to share.
Kamary and Brynlie are best friends. Here they are playing together.
Brynlie will walk up to you and say "Play with me?" How can anyone resist?
Here is the big teddy bear Brynlie got from Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler. She loves stuffed animals and likes to sleep with it at night.
Fun Facts about Brynlie
Scooby Doo, Diego and Dora (going back and forth from one to the other, several times a day)
Chicken Nuggets, Fries and Mac & Cheese
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How Much is that Doggie in the Window
Drawing on herself, Dressing up like a princess, making messes, watching TV, singing songs, playing with toys.
Kendra (her cousin)
Kamary (her sister)
Brynlie likes to wear a hooded towel and pretend she's rapunzel. She'll sing the song from Tangled while Kamary pretends to comb her "hair". It is so cute!
Other fun facts:
Brynlie always refers to herself in 3rd person. "Brynlie wants a drink."
Brynlie is extremely independant. Most of my kids are, but Brynlie is by far the most. She HAS to do everything herself. From unbuckling in the car, getting dressed, putting on her shoes, turning on the light, lifting up the potty seat, going potty, etc. Sometimes it drives Mom crazy, but she's really getting to be a big girl.
We love Brynlie so much and are so happy she's in our Family!
